Thirty-one years ago, three art teachers, Casey Carpenter, Mary Martha Harvey and Nancy Lyon, conceived the idea

to hold an ONTARIO COUNTY ART SHOW.   The Ontario County Arts Council's home at ALL THINGS ART has hosted

the exhibit since 1999.  In 2006 the Council decided annually to recognize outstanding and dedicated retired art teachers

of Ontario County by presenting them with flowers, a certificate, and by engraving their names upon a plaque to be

housed at ATA.  These teachers and those to follow are commended for their many years of service in promoting art

with our young people.
