INFORMATION: ALL THINGS ART IS AN ALL VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. 1. Dates for shows are always Friday nights, unless it is acoustic/indie music then it may be held on a Saturday night. Bingo is held upstairs on Saturday nights, so that prohibits any shows with loud music. Our building at 65 South Main Street in Canandaigua is not owned by the Council; it is rented by the Council and is considered private property. Note: City of Canandaigua noise ordinances limit us from accommodating bands playing music considered to be too loud or hard core. 2. All band shows will be between the hours of 6:30 pm until 10:00 pm. 3. All equipment and set up may occur during our business hours, if no other event is scheduled for that time, but sound checks may only be held after we close for business. 4. Our website, www.ocarts.org, will indicate availability of dates. Please check first. 5. Once you have selected a date and an alternative date, please email (ocac-admin@ocarts.org), call (585 396 0087), or stop by to secure the necessary form. We will post the names of the bands and the date on our website, if we are notified by email to the above address with such details . EXPECTATIONS: 1. Rental deposit is $30 held until that night. You may choose to cancel or reschedule the show within a month. If you cancel within the month, the deposit will be refunded. Any later notification, you will forfeit the deposit. 2. Our representative has the right to cancel a show at any point if conditions do not meet within our control standards. So far, this has not been necessary. 3. You may have up to 3 other bands accompany you in the same show with the same music. 4. We must know the bands/persons responsible when the contract is signed. Unwelcome bands will not be sanctioned. 5. On the night of the show, the $30.00 hold deposit becomes the cleaning deposit. As the renter, you are required to clean the space following the show. 6. As the renter, you are required to have chaperones sitting at the doors, and someone at the front door to collect admission. ATA recommends more parental involvement in the shows. 7. The renter(s) must bring their own PA system, power strips, extension cords, signage, and duct tape. We can provide nothing. 8. ATA and the renter will split the admission charge at a 50-50%. We suggest that the admission be at least $5.00 or more to assist us in covering our expenses. 9. At the close of the show, the renter and our representative will count the admission money together to avoid any discrepancy. Both agents will walk across the street to the bank for deposit in Canandaigua National Bank. 10. The renter will receive a check the following week for 50% of the proceeds. ATA requires THE RENTER'S SSN for our bookkeeping. No SSN= No SHOW. 11. Any merchandise or promos you wish to sell is 100% your profit. 12. It is highly recommended that the renter also sell refreshments since exiting and re-entering the building is not allowed. These will be supplied and sold by renter. No outside containers will be allowed in the building. These proceeds are solely the renter’s. NO ALCOHOL WILL BE BROUGHT IN/SOLD. 13. This building is ONTARIO COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL's home. The Council encourages young artists to present their talents to the general public. This renter's contract outlines whatt is expected during a band show. We are pleased to be able to provide you with this venue to showcasee your talents, and we hope to able to continue doing so in the future. The most important thing we ask of you in return is your respectful behavior. Respect for the building, respect for the neighbors, respect for ATA representative, respect for the law, respect for each other. Thank you.
