The All Guild Fiber and Fabric Show opens on October 2nd from 6-8 with a reception. It will prove to be an unusual exhibition from six local handwork guilds. Each Satruday in October through November 8th, guild members will hold stitch ins in the gallery. For Halloween a "Stitch Witch" will be available to answer questions, identify needlework, tools and solve project problems. The participating guilds are: Embroiderers Guild of America, Genesse Valley Chapter American Needlepoint Guild, Flowe City Needlers Chapter Finger Lakes Rugh Hookers Association of Traditional Hooking Artists, Little Lakes Chapter Heart & Hand Quilt Guild Genesee Country Lace Guild Show will close on November 8th. |

Musical director is Mark Darling and the evening's M.C. is Fred Magley. Saints and Sinners: Women Maligned in History, an original drama by local authors
NYSCA FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PRLog (Press Release) – Sep 22, 2009 – Two local authors, Kathy Morris and Patricia Assumpta will portray six women whose lives were irrevocably changed by events in history. Jezebel, Grace O'Malley, Mary I, Bridget Bishop, Sarah Graves and Toyko Rose will relate their stories to each other over the centuries. The audience can determine if each were a saint or sinner. This production has been sponsored by NYSCA and Phelps Arts Center to be performed in three venues. The premier will be on October 23 at All Things Art at 65 S. Main St, Canandaigua. The second and third performances will occur at South Bristol Cultural Center, 5253 Seneca Point Rd, Canandaigua on October 24th and Phelps Arts Center, 15 Church Street, Phelps NY on October 30th. All performances begin at 7 p.m. Advance sale tickets save money at $6 for one; 2 for $10. At the door admission will be $7 for one; $12 for two. A Christmas Carol by Kim Tenreiro Adapted from Dickens' tale, Kim Tenreiro will perform a dramatic interpretation of this classic at ATA on Saturday, December 5th at 7 p.m and again at a Sunday matinee on the 6th at 2 p.m. Brought to life the unforgettable characters will relay the timeless message of the story: Giving and loving others are the true joys in life. The program will run about 2.5 hours with an intermission. A $7 donation is requested at the door.
