Art in the Breweries
The Arts Council is planning to launch its first-ever Finger Lakes Art in the Breweries to connect beer lovers and art lovers in Ontario County, and to recognize the "art" in both artisans and artists. The fundraiser will support its community grants program and the Mariner Family Arts Scholarship, which annually benefits a deserving second-year student in the arts at Finger Lakes Community College. The Arts Council is a 501(c)3 charitable organization and its mission is "To promote and strengthen the creative capacity of our community by providing diverse opportunities for arts participation, understanding, and appreciation."

Member artists are encouraged to create and donate beer-themed artworks that will be considered for placement in an Ontario County brewery. The artwork will be sold to the highest bidder through a silent auction, August through September. Participating breweries will prominently display the jury-reviewed, one-of-a-kind, beer-themed artwork in their brewery, along with a bidding sheet and details on how to place a silent bid.
Participating breweries agree to provide space for the artwork and reasonably safeguard it and the bidding sheet. In return, the Ontario County Arts Council will list all participating breweries on all publicity materials advertising Art in the Breweries using the breweries logo, as well as provide links to the brewery’s website from the Arts Council's website right from on this page.
