Submissions will be juried by the Ontario County Arts Council.

Accepted work will be on display at The Cheshire Union from August 1st to the 29th.

The Cheshire Union is an old 4-room schoolhouse converted into a gift shop, antique center, artist studio space, classroom and gallery. The exhibit will be held in one of the 4 large rooms that once taught grades 1 through 8 in the hamlet of Cheshire.

The gallery is open to the public Monday-Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 12-5.

“‘Out of the Schoolhouse’ is an exhibit open for everyone who considers themselves at the beginning of their art career. We are really excited to find and feature new 2 and 3-dimensional work from our area! Art has played an increasingly important role in our lives and we hope this exhibition will highlight that importance.”  — Madeline Corsaro, manager of The Cheshire Union, Arts Council member and coordinator of the Arts Council Rotating Exhibits
