Submission Guidelines for OCAC Members

“Gatherings” Juried Themed Art Exhibit: You can SUBMIT up to 3 images! 

​

 Deadline: Send jpegs by midnight, Thursday, September 26th to:  ocartsny@gmail.com 

 

Submission information:Your JPEG images must be attached individually as attachments to email. 

 (Please attach rather than embed the picture in your email.) 

File size: no larger than 3 megabytes. 

Name image files as: Your LastName, FirstName #1, and Your LastName, FirstName #2 

             (For example: MorrisKathy#1.jpeg and MorrisKathy#2.jpeg) 

 For each submission: in the body of your email, please list INVENTORY: 

#1. Name of Artist, Title, Medium, Framed Size and PRICE 

#2. Name of Artist, Title, Medium, Framed Size and PRICE 

#3.  Name of Artist, Title, Medium, Framed Size and PRICE

 Please take extra care with your submission photos. 
 

All images should be cropped to not show any mat or frame, and be completely square or rectangle 
so that they may be used in our VIRTUAL Gallery online.

 

 *Maximum size of actual 2D art – including FRAME: 30” in any direction – including diptychs.   
(Freestanding floor sculpture can be taller than 30” but not wider). 

*Minimum size of unframed artwork no smaller than 8” x 10” before framing. 

*2D artwork must be wired for hanging, framed appropriately, matted and under glass or plexi

   if watercolor, pastel, photo, drawing, ink, other non-permanent mediums etc.

*Metal or canvas prints of photography are OK if wired for hanging.  
Art work, other than photography, must be an original piece of art.

*3D work needs to be freestanding. 

*Wrapped canvas paintings can be unframed, but need to have neatly painted sides 
  and wired for hanging. 

*Fiber Art needs to be ready to hang or freestanding if 3D 

 

Date for Selected Artwork to be delivered to the museum:

Notice of accepted art: by Sept. 29                                                    

Drop off accepted art – Friday, Oct. 4th 1:00 – 3:00 & Saturday, Oct. 2nd  11:00 – 1:00  

                                   (Also pick up times for art currently in the “Have a Ball” exhibit.)

Opening reception – Saturday, Oct. 19th   1 – 3pm

Pick up of art –  TBD

A 20% Commission to OCAC will be retained on any sales of art during the length of this exhibit. 

 

The OCAC Exhibit Committee reserves the right to reject any artwork that is NOT PROPERLY MATTED & FRAMED AND WIRED AT TIME OF DELIVERY 
and accompanied by the SIGNED LOAN agreement which will be sent with the acceptance notice.
